He will be missed dearly, but his family knows he is up there right now probably driving his old pick-up truck to the beach with The Eagles on the radio, meeting up with some old friends."

Rest in Peace, Don Atkinson
Our fellow Viking Don Atkinson left us on December 31st, 2019. Don was a member of The Norseman staff during school and his love of writing and journalism continued the rest of his life. He worked in broadcasting and Agricultural Journalism and, at the time of his passing, Don owned his own media service producing farm reports for radio and TV stations across the country.
His other passions included music and cartooning (his strip “Adventures in Cartooning” was the featured cartoon in The Battalion for the years while he was a student). Don is survived by his wife, Conny, and his two children, Renee and Zachary, and his parents, Dottie and Dr. James B. “Bud” Wilson of Bryan and Don Atkinson, Sr. Service arrangements are as follows: January 10: 10:00 a.m. Reflection Pointe Gardens 10900 N. Rest in Peace, Randall Rosenbaum
Our classmate Randall Rosenbaum passed away November 13, 2018. Here is an excerpt from what our classmate Julie Byer Clark posted in our Class of '81 group on Facebook:
"It's with great sadness that we let our class know of the death of our dear classmate, Randall Rosenbaum. Randall and I had been talking in the last year or so because of some similar perplexing health issues. I know he reached out to other friends in our class. He epitomized a fighter, remained hopeful and always displayed a true interest in how others were faring. In the end, however, after 4 surgeries in quick succession, it was just too much for his body to recover from. Please say a prayer for him, and his family--wife, Arla; son, Seth; and daughter, Emily. As Joy Geppert has said...their hope (and ours) is that the things that Randall's medical team learned from their treatment will be able to benefit and give others a new chance."
God bless Randall and his family. Our prayers are with them.

Rest in Peace, Michael Puckett
Michael Puckett, our sweet Class of 1981 classmate at Bryan High School, passed away August 3, 2017 after a lengthy bout with cancer. Michael fought so valiantly for years--and did not "lose" the fight. He has simply moved on to Heaven ahead of us, where he is now happy and healed. Michael's spouse, Logan Brown, has told us that there will be a memorial for Michael in a month or so--in order to give family and friends time to make plans for travel to Florida--and he will let us know when those arrangements are made. In the meantime, if you would like to send condolences to Logan, the address is:
